Hi there. I was looking for baby kimonos online when I happened upon your store Cocoro. I love the green kimono! The white and green one with cherry blossom print on it. You don't have that particular kimono available anymore in your store though. Any chance you're selling them again soon?

Hooray for Anpanman!

When my husband and I got married (I am Japanese and my husband is American) we took our honeymoon in Japan and one of the places we visited was the Anpanman museum. How fun! I love seeing the pictures and hearing about the visits because it takes me back to summers I spent in Kochi with my grandparents. I was born in Kochi but my family moved to Atlanta, GA when I was just a year and a half. I love visiting and can't wait to one day take my two kids there.

I came across the Cocoro website when I was browsing for a unique and beautiful gift for a friend of mine that is pregnant. I love the baby kimonos you carry!

Thanks for the great website!

Hi! I came across your blog on the babyledweaning forum. I'm in the US, but when I visited London last year, I loved the shop The Mamas and the Papas for newborn stuff (needless to say I was pregnant at the time, so I went a little crazy). Not sure how their website compares, but the store is great! :)

Shimizu city is where Chibimaruko chan from!
It's always good to have mother-in law around, my mother in law Susan, she is very supportive and also understanding how I want my way for motherhood, too.

I'm from Kochi in Shikoku. I miss warm wether and food, but I found it is very relaxing to raise children in UK. Do you often come back to Scotland?

I am in a pretty rural area of Shimizu, in the mountains, but can get to Shizuoka or Shimizu city easily by car.

Yes, I think many things are different. I co-sleep with my daughter and my UK friends and parents seem to find it strange, but the Japanese are ok with it. I was surprised by the hospitals trying to make me give her formula as well as breast-feeding, but I have just ignored the doctors and nurses when they say things like that. My mother-in-law is very understanding about when I want to do things a different way though, and she doesn't push me to be Japanese about it if I don't want to.

Where in Japan are you from?
I have totally given up my live and fit into the baby's; I find Japanese people understand that but people in the UK are a bit shocked and surprised. I like the Japanese way though!
